On the last day of the 2013 Whyte Avenue Art Walk, I was told by an admirer of my work that I needed to be at the Mercer Market.  Excepting that recommendation I wanted to do something “Alberta”, Lake Abraham or Big Horn Dam is located on the David Thompson highway just past Nordegg, a place I have been many times camping.  I had just featured my ‘Grenada Collection’ and wanted to move away from the tropical theme. I drastically limited my colour palate for this new collection aiming for a grey and foggy mood.  The series debuted at my first Mercer Collective Pop Up Sale in October 2013 with great success.
